Welcome to Ottawa House Signs Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website ottawahousesigns.ca (the “Site”) and any purchases or interactions made through it. By accessing or using our Site, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or order our products and services.

1. General Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to place an order.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate access to the Site at any time without notice.
  • Fraud Prevention & Access Restrictions: We reserve the right to block or restrict access to any user, IP address, or country based on:
    • Suspicious or fraudulent activity.
    • Violation of these Terms.
    • Any other parameters we deem necessary for security or business reasons.

2. Products & Pricing

  • All products (custom house signs, plaques, etc.) are subject to availability.
  • Prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and do not include taxes or shipping unless stated.
  • We may correct pricing errors at any time, even after an order is placed.

3. Orders & Payments

  • Orders are not binding until we confirm availability and process payment.
  • Accepted payment methods: Credit/Debit Cards, PayPal, E-Transfer (Canada only).
  • We may cancel orders suspected of fraud, pricing errors, or policy violations.

4. Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery times are estimates only (subject to carrier delays).
  • Shipping within Canada and USA only (unless special arrangements are made).

5. Returns, Lifetime Warranty & Refunds

  • Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final unless defective or damaged. We will work with you and try our best to ensure your full customer satisfaction, even if that means rebuilding the sign from the start. We really want to ensure you get the sign of your dreams!
  • Refund requests should be made within 7 days of delivery with proof of defect.
  • If a minor defect occurs after you’ve owned the sign for a while, we may request you wait a few months until the slow season (winter) for us to handle your issue.
  • Shipping costs will be covered by US, don’t worry, we’ve got your back!
  • Your lifetime warranty on your sign cannot be transferred and becomes void in the event you sell your home.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All designs, logos, and most content on this Site are owned by Ottawa House Signs Ltd.
  • Unauthorized use, reproduction, or resale of our products is prohibited.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for illegal purposes or fraud.
  • Submit false information (e.g., fake billing/shipping addresses).
  • Reverse-engineer or disrupt the Site’s functionality.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for:
    • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
    • Errors in product descriptions or minor defects.
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product(s).

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
  • Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ottawa, Ontario.
